Accidentally deleted important photos or videos while cleaning your phone’s storage? Fortunately, you can get them back as easily as betting on your favorite team via 22Bet. Here’s how to recover deleted photos on an iPhone.
The “Recently Deleted” Folder
Your iPhone doesn’t immediately erase photos and videos forever. First, it moves the files to a special album. From there, you can retrieve and restore them within 30 days. Here’s how to check deleted photos on your iPhone:
- Tap the “Photos” icon in the menu.
- Go to the “Albums” tab.
- Scroll to the bottom to find the “Recently Deleted” folder. This is where deleted photos, videos, and screenshots are stored.
- Select the files you want to restore. For a single file, long-press on it. A “Restore” button will appear — tap it.
- To restore multiple files, press the “Select” button, mark the desired photos and videos, and then tap “Restore.” The files will move back to their original folders.
Be careful not to press the “Delete” button, which is right next to “Restore.”
Remember, you only have 30 days to restore your photos. The phone will indicate how much time remains before the photos are permanently deleted.
Backup: A Safety Net for Data Recovery
A backup can quickly help you restore data you’ve deleted. Here’s how to create one:
- iCloud Backup:
- Go to Settings → tap your account → iCloud → “iCloud Backup” → “Back Up Now.”
- On MacOS:
- Connect your iPhone to your Mac and open Finder.
- Locate your iPhone in the sidebar and, under the “General” tab, choose a backup option (iCloud or local).
- You can also encrypt the backup by checking the appropriate box.
- On Windows:
- Connect your iPhone to your PC and open iTunes.
- Click the iPhone button in the upper-left corner → “Summary” → “Back Up Now.”
Before restoring content from a backup, you’ll need to reset your iPhone to factory settings. Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone, and enter your Apple ID password. After deleting the data, proceed with setting up your iPhone.
iCloud: Easy Recovery from the Cloud
iCloud is the most convenient service for storing iPhone data. In the “Apps & Data” section of your iPhone, there’s an option to “Restore from iCloud Backup.” Access iCloud, and select the backup you want. To identify the backup containing your deleted files, check the date and size of each backup.
The recovery process takes a few minutes to an hour. Make sure you have a stable internet connection, as the download may pause if interrupted. Also, keep an eye on your battery level to avoid the phone turning off during recovery.
Using Finder or iTunes for Recovery
You can also restore photos from a backup created via Finder or iTunes. This method allows you to restore your device from a backup saved on your computer.
- Turn on your device.
- Connect to the internet and disable the “Find My iPhone” feature.
- Go to “Apps & Data” → “Restore from Mac or PC.”
- Connect your phone to your computer.
- On a Mac, open Finder and select your device in the bottom-left corner. On a PC, open iTunes and click “Summary.”
- Select “Restore from Backup.” If your backup is encrypted, enter the password.
- Start the data transfer and continue setting up your phone.
If you can’t find the old photos, try another backup.
Cloud Storage Services
There are plenty of cloud storage options available, offering different storage capacities and pricing plans. Most follow a similar process: log in, click “Upload,” and select the photos you want to save. You can also organize files into folders for easier retrieval later.
There’s no expiration date for storing photos, as long as you continue paying for the storage. Some services offer free storage, but it may not be enough for all your needs.
